The Team Behind the Scenes
The Twin Cedars team is committed to making the outdoors a safe and welcoming place for ALL.
Jon has been serving nonprofits for the last 12 years. Jon has worked in youth ministry, as a Regional Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma, and he joined the Twin Cedars team in December of 2020. Jon is responsible for leading our staff, overseeing camp operations, fundraising, and ensuring that the camping experience is rewarding and enjoyable for all. A lifelong learner, Jon has been intentional in seeking educational and professional development opportunities relevant to nonprofit service. He is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Duke University, and a Certificate in Fundraising Management (CFRM) from The Indiana University Lily Family School of Philanthropy.
Elisha is a 1999 graduate from East Central University. She holds a BS-ED in Special Education and has Teacher Certification in multiple areas of focus. Elisha began volunteering for our Make Promises Happen program in 1988 and decided her passion was serving individuals with disabilities. She taught classes for Chandler Public Schools for 13 years, spent a short time as a Paraprofessional for Putnam City Schools and then began working as Twin Cedars’ Director of Operations in May of 2013. Elisha oversees camp scheduling, rental operations, meal services, human resources, and a myriad of other operational areas.
Cody has worked in the nonprofit sector since moving to the Oklahoma City area in 2013 and has been a dedicated volunteer with Make Promises Happen since 2009. He is passionate about serving others and advocating for inclusion for all. At Twin Cedars, Cody oversees marketing efforts, the execution of fundraising events, and serves as the community and contractor point of contact for the Make Promises Happen program. Cody strongly values summer camp and the meaningful experiences it provides for all. He is actively involved with the American Camp Association (ACA), serving on the Texoma Region conference committee and on the Texoma Region Local Council of Leaders (LCOL) as the Professional Development Chair.
Bailey graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2024 with a degree in Child Development. During her time at UCO, she volunteered with nonprofit organizations serving children and families throughout the community. Bailey first connected with Make Promises Happen in 2023 when she began volunteering at camp. What started as a class requirement quickly became something much more meaningful as she fell in love with the mission of camp and the joy, connection, and sense of belonging it creates for campers and families. After graduation, Bailey spent two years teaching special education. While she loved working with students and families, she wanted to find a way to be more connected to her community. As the Program Development Coordinator, Bailey will oversee volunteer recruitment and management, coordinate program planning with partner groups, and lead our seasonal staff. She is passionate about creating an environment where every camper, volunteer, and family feels welcomed, supported, and included.
Alissa brings years of experience in both the non-profit sector and education. She volunteered alongside her children with Make Promises Happen from 2013 through 2021. She is excited to reconnect with campers, families, and volunteers. As the first point of contact at Twin Cedars, Alissa handles phone inquiries, answers questions, and manages all camper and volunteer registrations and payments.
Lance oversees all of the camp facilities and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team including service in the US Navy, serving as the Chief of the Guthrie Fire Department, and time running a Scout camp in New Mexico.
Betsy comes to Twin Cedars from a career in public education and years of owning and operating her own restaurant, Morrow’s Bar and Grill, on Grand Lake. Betsy leads our kitchen team to create delicious meals to fuel all of the fun at Twin Cedars!
