Bailey Van Buskirk
Program Development Coordinator

Bailey graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2024 with a degree in Child Development. During her time at UCO, she volunteered with nonprofit organizations serving children and families throughout the community. Bailey first connected with Make Promises Happen in 2023 when she began volunteering at camp. What started as a class requirement quickly became something much more meaningful as she fell in love with the mission of camp and the joy, connection, and sense of belonging it creates for campers and families. After graduation, Bailey spent two years teaching special education. While she loved working with students and families, she wanted to find a way to be more connected to her community. As the Program Development Coordinator, Bailey will oversee volunteer recruitment and management, coordinate program planning with partner groups, and lead our seasonal staff. She is passionate about creating an environment where every camper, volunteer, and family feels welcomed, supported, and included.
