I had the best time at Make Promises Happen. As someone with a passion for serving individuals with disabilities, this was a huge opportunity to learn, volunteer, and truly immerse myself in the experience. I wish more people knew about this camp and the profound impact it has on everyone involved—volunteers, campers, directors, parents, friends, and family alike. Contributing to Make Promises Happen and connecting with others who share my values is an immense privilege and honor.

Make promises Happen Camp is an amazing place to be included and to meet new people. Camp has helped me with multiple things like making new friends and learning skills that will help me in the future. We have the best Camp family at Twin Cedars!

Staring my volunteering journey at a young age at camp completely sparked my love for helping others, as well as allowing me to grow as a person with pure, unbiased love and appreciation for anyone and everyone.

As a young kid and camper, camp was the one place my parents ever felt comfortable letting me stay overnight and getting to do the camp experience like I had hear about was amazing! As a teen who came to give back, camp continued to bless me with friendships, life lessons, experiences, and so much happiness!

I first came to camp as a 14-year old volunteer ready to help people live their life without limits and help make an impact. After my first camp I soon realized that not only was I helping the campers but they were making an even bigger impact on me as a person. I could never leave camp feeling unloved because every camper or person you passed by was part of your camp family. That’s one of the reasons I keep coming and coming to camp.
